Working on the doctrine - "for the students, of the students and by the students", this year the institute had handed over the management and responsibility of the entire annual social gathering, "Nuvotsav" to the students. Nuvotsav was celebrated from 29th Dec – 31st Dec 2010. The students have carried it out with a great success. For them, it was a nice learning curve which improved their management, creative and decision making skills.
In order to systematize the extra-curricular and co- curricular activities in the Nuvotsav, various clubs are formed-Music Club, Drama Club, Dance Club, Arts Club, ISTE Club, NSS Club, Literary Club, Sports Club, Electronic design Club etc. These clubs function the entire year. They have their objectives and programmes and working committee managed by its President, Vice President and Secretary and a staff mentor. In this Nuvotsav, these clubs acted in co-ordination to produce the desired result. They provided a platform to the innate talents in the students and the outcome, performance was very entertaining and outstanding. Various events –sports (for students and staff), dances, dramas, songs, fashion show, rangoli, mehendi, painting, fish pond, debate, one minute show so on and so forth. The three days of Nuvotsav was mesmerizing saga of all entertainment, energy and enthusiasm.
All the activities were chanalized by the student-authorities of the Steering Committee viz; Niraj Katkamvar. Veerendra Mishra,Shirish Mishra, Abhishek Jha who worked with might and main for the success of the programme. The mentor of the Steering committee was, Prof. Prakash Dhopte. The committee worked under the motivating guidance of Prof. D.R.Raut, Vice Principal, Nuva.
With their amiable and encouraging attitude all the directors of the institute, Mr. Sarang Raut, Ms. Swapna Raut, Mr. Jogy Scaria, Mr. Deven Raut leave no stone unturned for the education, entertainment and enhancement of the students. With their works and words, they set an example for the students. This time as well, with their involvement and presence, "Nuvotsav" became memorable event. |
