In keeping with tradition and to maintain the enthusiastic, energetic and festive atmosphere at the campus, Nuva celebrated the Dahi-Handi festival on 20-8-11. It was organized as a competition to add more fun to it. Boys and Girls equally participated in it. The competition was very exciting, where the winners were boys from BE-II and girls from BE-Final year. The atmosphere resonated with the slogans of praying and praising Lord Krishna. The program consummated with gopal-kala. Such activities are always motivated by the management as well as the Vice- Principal. This is one of the many festivals celebrated by Nuva all the year round. The festivals bring about an awareness of the rich cultural heritage of our country to the students and keep their spirits high.

Prof. N.G.Thakre – Dean , 1st Year was the chief guest. The event in-charge was Prof. Tushar Shende – Chief Mentor, Civil Engineering department, supported by Prof.Prakash Dhopte- Chief Mentor, Mechanical Engineering department. The event was well organized and compered by Prof. Varun Patil. Prof. Rahul Gurpude, Prof. Chandan Ingole. IInd year students took efforts for the success of the event.
