Energy, Enthusiasm, Elegance, Expertise, Entertainment- if these attributes have to have any better synonym , it will be the ultimate one called , The Nuvotsav. - the grand annual social gathering organized by Nuva College Of Engineering & Technology, Kalmeshwar.
This year's Nuvotsav, the Nuvotsav-12 , a weeklong annual festival , from 22nd to 29th Jan 2012 , was comprised of Dance, Music, Fashion show, Poster/Drawing, Rangoli, Fete, Treasure hunt, Drama, Personality contest, Debate, Quiz, Sports so on and so far.
The grand gala commenced with the sports activity from 22nd to 26th Jan 2012. In the keenly contested matches of , Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Chess, Table tennis etc , the students showed their skills and spirit. By virtue of the individual and team victories, the students of Civil Engg. and the Electronics Engg. happened to win the Sports Cup.
The three days cultural event was inaugurated on 27-1-12. On this occasion Dr. Manoj kumar Sharma. Superintendent of Police ( Nagpur-Rural); Mrs. Vrinda Bisen , Principal ,Bhavans Vidya Mandir; Mrs. Rajani Hiwale Vice- Principal, Nagar Parishad Jr. College , Kalmeshwar were the guests of honour. They congratulated the students on their magnificent management & organization. Especially, inspiring speech of Dr. Manoj Kumar wherein he mentioned his own experiences of making the failures the stepping stones, captivated the students. He invoked the students to be resilient, honest and helpful.
The proceeding took effect with the welcome dances , dramas, debate and in the evening the regal fashion show mesmerized the audience. The evening became memorable & mirthful with the presence of radio jockey R.A.J. Raj. . Noteworthy was that the students were equal to Raj's sense of humour.
On 28-1-12 , the mega-meet , "Together" was organized wherein the parents & eminent persons & entrepreneurs were cordially invited to be the part of festive & jovial occasion & to strengthen the bond of intimacy. Almost 350 parents & the following distinguished personalities really brought glory and eminence to the evening ..

The showcase of Indian festivals presented by the students , dances, songs & the gazals by the renowned singer and winner of sa-re-ga-ma , Anirudhha Joshi spellbound & enthralled the audience so much that even the distinguished guests could not stop from presenting themselves. Mr.Anshuman Ghosh; Head Marketing MIHAN struck some mesmerizing melodious notes on guitar ; and Mr. Sadhwani Chairman J.I.T sang a wonderful old , philosophical song. The audience gave a huge round of applause to them. The duo, indeed, stole the show. The evening consummated with a very delicious dinner.
The 29-1-12 started with the treasure hunt & the fantastic comic play by the non-teaching staff followed by the Fete on the bollywood theme , wherein everyone relished the delicious dishes. The real attraction of the evening was more than 30 dance numbers performed by the students. All were truly mesmerizing & mind-blowing. In the end , with the animated students , teachers & directors were also all geared up to step up on the loud notes of DJ. Everyone danced to their hearts content.
Providing the platform the to the innate talent of the students, relief form the monotonous daily routine in order to retain the energy, celebrate the spirit of togetherness and happiness are the real intents of the grand gala . Our Hon. Directors viz; Mrs. Swapna Raut, Director of Human Resources , Mr.Sarang Raut, Director of Operations, Mr. Jogy Scaria, Director of IT Infrastructure always put their efforts, provide the means and recourses & participate in the activities. It gives the prime contribution in the successful accomplishment of such events.
The event well organized and stupendously managed by the Core-Committee of the students comprised of Kartik Narayan final yr. ETC, Ms. Pranita Balgujar Final yr, EN, Kapil Ingale third yr ETC, Ms. Manali Tambuskar third yr. Civil, Vinay Chelwani third yr. EN. The Core –Committee was ably directed and guided by the Organizing Committee made of lecturers viz; Prof. Prakash Dhopte, Prof. Anvita Paranjpe, Prof. Vikrant Meshram, Prof. Sandeep Wardhe, Prof. Manoj Panda, and Prof. Tushar Shende.
