Once Mahatma Gandhi rightly said that India Lives in the village. This is really true; the development of a country like India can only be possible by empowering the rural people. In this regard it is very much important to update rural people with modern technology and innovations in the field of science and technology.
In this context the role of computer is very much important and without the knowledge of computer we cannot update the rural society, where till now 70% of India’s population is residing. So keeping all this points in mind “Community welfare and services” a cell of Nuva, has successfully organized a week long program on Computer literacy Drive for rural students under the guidance of Dr.J.F Agrawal, Principal of Nuva College of engineering and technology.
Around 80 students of nearby villages have participated in this program. A team of Nuva teachers, Dr Chandrakant Burande, Mr. Ashish Kuril, Ms. Krupa Thakkar, Mr. Debabrata Dey, Mr. Sandeep Dhagdi, Ms. Roshani Nimkar, Mr. Sunny Arora, Mr. Vikas Wankhede and Mr. Aaswad Waghmare have taken maximum efforts to make this program success.
Along with computer knowledge some specially designed personality development programs were also taught to the participants. This program was turn out be popular among villagers. It receives all round appreciation from the villagers as it touches to the much needed vocationally capable training which tend them to find out a job in the market. |
