VLSI & RF Design Center
 

The Electronics &Telecom Department of Nuva has established a highly advanced training and research center for VLSI and RF Design. Analog and Digital VLSI technologies are the most sought-after disciplines among Electronics Engineers. Most of the modern communication systems like Mobiles, wi-fi, Zigbee etc work at RF and hence RF Design is another major technology of the future.


Nuva's VLSI &RF Design Center has highly modern hardware and software facilities for carrying out research in these two frontal areas. Excellent training facility for undergraduate students is also available in the center. Faculty of VLSI & RF Design Center is carrying out research and has presented papers at VDAT conferences. Several training programs have been conducted during last two years for the benefit of students, including a 3-day workshop on RF Design for M.Tech students of VIT University, Vellore. The center has supported students to enter VLSI industry as Interns. It is also working on placement services in RF industry.


The center is equipped with necessary hardware like Cypress Semiconductor's PSoC and IIT's CPLD Design boards. Many advanced EDA tools necessary for designing are also available in the center.


Recently, AWR Corporation has tied up with Nuva's VLSI & RF Design Center. AWR has sponsored its most powerful EDA tool for RF Design.
This is AWR's first donation to any Engineering College in India.
